Do you have an extensive experience in leadership and management? Have you built a post-revenue business? Do you have at least five years of experience building a startup? If one of the answers is correct, AWE DRC is looking for you to serve as a mentor for or many of its female entrepreneurs.
The Academy of Women Entrepreneurs is a US department of State’s initiative supporting women entrepreneurs around the world. AWE is currently being implemented in more than 100 countries and is set to launch in DR Congo in this very year 2023. AWE gives enterprising women the knowledge, networks, and access they need to launch and scale successful businesses.
AWE DRC is looking for mentors to show direction to its female entrepreneurs to be trained during the first ever cohort of AWE DRC participants in its 5 local hubs: Goma, Bukavu, Lubumbashi, Kinshasa & Kisangani. A typical AWE mentor will devote 5 hours monthly for approximately 6 months for a cohort’s participant mentored. Mentorship could be done in person or online. Additionally, mentors could offer keynote speech and lead a session on a particular topic with a given AWE class.
We are constantly looking for experienced entrepreneurs / business leaders (preferably women) with post revenue business to join our dedicated team of facilitators that is building a new generation of impact female entrepreneurs through mentorship.
Mentors will serve as volunteers associated with the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs. We count on your heart of helping others, and your dedication to leaving the World better than you found it. So, if you think that describes you, then you might be whom they are looking for.
Currently, the AWE team includes over 10 changemakers from around the DR Congo including facilitators, mentors and support staffs, and they are looking for more amazing people to join AWE – DRC team.
